Prior to joining Zadar Capital, Alex was a director at Duxton Asset Management, a niche asset manager focusing on alternative investment products in the realm of agricultural land and emerging markets.
At Duxton, Alex was responsible for the sourcing and acquisition of agricultural businesses in Australia, Africa and Latin America as well as the subsequent management of Duxton’s investments in these businesses. As part of his role, he actively sat on a number of boards in Australia, including those of the country’s largest mainland dairy producer and one of its largest independent, non-aligned beef finishers.
Alex also worked out of London for several of RREEF’s real estate private equity funds, primarily focusing on the acquisition and development of European real estate assets. Before joining RREEF in 2005, Alex spent 5 years with the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC working on project financing for private-sector telecommunications networks in emerging markets across Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
Alex holds a BSEng in Electrical Engineering and a BSEcon in Finance (First Class Honors) from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a MBA in Finance from the Wharton School.
